An XLS file is the native spreadsheet file type for versions of Microsoft Excel prior to Excel 2007. A QIF file is a Quicken Interchange Format file. The QIF file format was originally established by Quicken for use in its financial applications. However, the QIF file format is now used in many other financial applications, including Microsoft Money and GnuCash. The XLS file format may be converted to the QIF format by using a free add-on for Microsoft Excel.
1.Qif To Ofx Converter Mac
Download and install the free XL2QIF Excel add-on from Chez-Alice (See Resources). A new item is added to the toolbar in Excel.
2.Open the XLS spreadsheet to be converted in the Microsoft Excel application.
3.Click the “XL2QIF” option on the toolbar, and then click the “Save to QIF” option. An Export dialog box opens.
4.Type a name for the exported QIF file in the “File Name” field.
5.Navigate to the location where the file will be saved in the “File Location” field.
6.Click the button labeled “Convert.” The XLS file is converted to the QIF format.
